Schmidt, a APAP 2021 William Dawson Award nominee, announced his retirement after more than 32 years of service with the City of Rochester, MN as General Manager and Artistic Director of the Civic Music department. Schmidt joined the organization in 1989 and has enriched the community by leading the City’s music and artistic programming for the past three decades. He will retire in September 2021.
