APAP ArtsForward

The APAP ArtsForward program awarded $2.065 million in 47 grants of $50,000 and $35,000 to APAP presenting organizations working in partnership with an artist or ensemble. As venues reopen, tours resume, and audiences reconnect, these grants fuel collaborations between APAP presenter members and partnering artists/ensembles. 

A range of programs, resources and services are being provided to support the performing arts field’s safe transition toward reopening its venues, including professional development webinars, conference sessions and the development of national tools.

On February 9, 2022, APAP launched the APAP ArtsForward Reopening Survey with research partner AMS Planning & Research.  The important, eight month-long initiative will gather invaluable longitudinal data from performing arts presenters, venues, agents/managers, producers and artists and track fieldwide trends in reopening and resuming programming, booking and touring activities. The resulting report will provide the industry with national and regional data to inform decision making as presenters, producers, artists and audiences reconnect, work resumes, tours restart and venues reopen with full attendance capacity.
