APAP presents Sharifa Johka's workshop "Finding the Keys"

Finding the Keys with Sharifa Johka
Performing arts organizations need to lead the charge for greater equity in the workplace, and that starts with recruiting and hiring.

Does your organization want to make its recruitment and hiring practices more inclusive? This workshop is for you.

As part of APAP's 10/20/30 pledge and our commitment to racial equity, diversity and inclusion (REDI) for the performing arts, we are presenting a half-day (3.5 hour) interactive workshop, "Finding the Keys" with Sharifa Johka, former Director of Equity at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and radical inclusion activist.

APAP is underwriting up to 80 members to attend free of charge, made possible with the generous support of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and APAP's William Dawson Endowment.

APAP is offering the workshop on two dates: March 29, 2022 and May 5, 2022, each from 1:00-4:30 p.m. EDT. For each session, up to 40 APAP organizational members are eligible to register at no cost, with additional space for 20 registrants at a cost of $125 each. The March 29 event has passed. You may still use this pre-registration form for the May 5 event until the pre-registration deadline of April 25.
