APAP is committed to providing members with a variety of opportunities to connect and engage with colleagues year-round, both in-person and online, at the annual APAP|NYC conference, at regional events, and online in our monthly webinars. Join fellow arts professionals in ongoing peer-to-peer exchanges, and together we can navigate the future of performing arts presenting. Current professional development opportunities include:
- Compose Your Career, co-founded by award-winning musicians, composers, and producers Clay Ross and Jayme Stone and offered in partnership with APAP, Compose Your Career is a six-week online course that teaches artists, step-by-step, how to create a sustainable music career beyond a standard 101 class. Artists need to re-think and re-imagine what it means to do business.
- APAP BREAK/ROOM Conversations, a unique series of virtual dialogues with leaders across our field---artists, presenters, producers, agents, managers, funders and other cultural workers---launched in response to the current crisis.
- APAP Webinars, which focus on current trends and topics in the performing arts field.
- Affinity Groups, that provide opportunities for you to "meet your people" to discuss and address issues of common concern. More information coming soon!
