Leadership and Career Advancement

For more than 60 years, APAP has been committed to leadership development in the changing ecology of the performing arts industry. With programs devoted to emerging leaders and mid-career professionals, APAP provides you ways for emerging leaders to expand and strengthen your leadership skills such as the:

• Emerging Leadership Institute (ELI), a two and a half-day seminar held in New York City before the APAP|NYC conference.
• Leadership Fellows Program (LFP), a 20-month program for mid-career professionals with a 5-day intensive in the summer followed by specialized sessions at APAP|NYC.
• National Dance Presenters Forum (NDPF), a four-day intensive that brings together a select cohort of emerging dance presenters from across the U.S. to discuss emergent issues in the field of dance, share strategies for engaging communities and more.
• Young Performers Career Advancement (YPCA), which supports classical musicians in the formative stages of their careers through intensive, specialized seminars at the APAP|NYC conference.
