APAP understands how difficult this time is for performing arts professionals across the industry. We want you to know that during this crisis and through the recovery, we are here to serve you.
We recognize that small and mid-sized presenting organizations (SAMPs) are the backbone of your communities and make up much of the presenting field. We also know that SAMPs have unique needs and that the pandemic has magnified them. Even before the pandemic, APAP has been working closely with SAMPs
to build networks and develop ways to meet those needs.
APAP believes that performing arts professionals are stronger together, and together we will build the post-COVID-19 future of the performing arts. For that reason, we want to invite small and mid-sized presenters to join APAP at a special rate of $150.
In addition to the APAP|NYC conference and the member benefits which all of your staff can access, here are some resources expressly for SAMP members:
- SAMP Survey Report: APAP has been focused on better understanding SAMPs since 2018. In September 2020 we released our latest findings and the first national study on SAMPs in a comprehensive report, Executive Summary and special COVID-19 Addendum
- SAMP Affinity Group: We have launched a members-only Affinity Group for SAMPs, providing ongoing critical peer support and an information-sharing network. The Group is also be a vital sounding board to help APAP identify how we can further support SAMPs and increase their visibility across the field.
- Webinars/Sessions: APAP will offer SAMP-specific webinars and conference sessions highlighting innovations through COVID-19. We also plan to facilitate dialogue between SAMPs and agents to develop new strategies for programming and partnerships.
